Who we are
MIa was founded on 7 November 2020 (under Spanish Law 1/2002 of 22 March) as an international networking organization built on one principle: international cooperation.
We bring everyone together around a single cause – the families of affected children, the doctors who treat them, and the researchers racing toward a cure – and connect them across borders so that treatment, knowledge and hope reach the children who need them.
What we do
We provide a life-changing, high-cost treatment at no charge to families, and we are witnessing real improvement in the children who receive it.
We foster scientific research, build and administer the global Menkes network, and facilitate therapeutic initiatives for Menkes patients.
